Basic Considerations/Corporate Site/Learning Module/General Production
Here are some things for you to consider toward the development of your information package:
Basic Considerations:
• Who do you see the information package geared toward: i.e. students (at what level?), customers, employees or general public?
• What sort of scale of information package do you want: i.e— strictly print, website, in-house site (intranet), training module or complete multi-faceted?
• Do you see the packaging developed with a view strictly towards any one aspect of your company’s operation, or holistic, complete with an integration of your marketing plan with the development of a branding campaign?
• How targeted do you envision the information on a scale from internal departmental --> general public.
If the package involves a corporate or business-to-business website:
• Where do you believe your company is in the growth cycle, from start up through growth through mature to decline (for re-ramping up)?
• Do you feel it necessary for an outside specialist to assess the health of your company?**We can provide this service
• Do you feel the site should be featuring:
a) your product, or a product catalog
b) a key company service
c) information edited for pitching potential clients
d) company information on your intra-net or server;
e) management to employee information/interface
f) a combination of any of these factors?
If the package involves a training/learning module:
• How deeply do you feel the materials should reach, from strictly informational (static — linear page to page) to richly interactive and layered (dynamic — with interactive video and restrictive advancement to higher levels)?
• Do you have a supervisor/traning administer to manage your training and track the results?
• Will you require a curriculum/syllabus for your training?
• Do you want testing and tracking?
• If so, do you want us to set up a standard module for tracking, or do you want your supervising/HR department to set up the test questions and tracking in-house?
• Do you want a certification testing-level set-up?
• Do you have existing materials and documents from which to build the package: i.e. training manuals, curriculae, syllabus, existing media kits, etc.?
• Do you have people in place to edit this information once DHR\New Media sets it up, or should we contract an editor to work with your staff?
• Do you have all or some art and photography available, or would you like DHR\New Media to take pictures and or develop your graphics and branding materials?
• Will we be training your IT staff (or department supervisors) to maintain website and interactive training materials, or will we be maintaining the package for you – in whole or in part?
